After years of idling, I have at last started thinking seriously
about travelling instead of dreaming about it. No idea exactly where I'm
headed, but by the end of this year I'm ditching my dull office job in
London for an African adventure.

I've joined a few travel forums today, and I can't say enough how
heartwarming it is to learn that I'm not the only thirtysomething out there
who isn't so concerned with career prospects, pension plans, and
mortgages, and hankers for a life that's... well, frankly more
exciting!:D

The old adage "You Should Get Out More" survives to this day because its true, its timeless, its serious and therefore should be treated as such. With a possible exception one thing I'd leave unsaid, an Africa adventure trip done right is bar none the utmost exhilarating experience on the face of this earth. Network with right people who share the same enthusiasm as you and you possibly wont go wrong.
